Mail Timelines

These timelines below outline how fast the mail job gets to the USPS after a distribution is approved. Any mail sent first class is not trackable to the final destination, so once USPS has it there is limited visibility on the status.

Written by Jeff Chambers

Timelines and Examples are below:

  • If approved by 10:00 AM Central Time then the distribution will be mailed on or before the next 2 business days.

    • Example: approved at 9:00 AM CT on Monday, will be mailed on or before Wednesday.

  • If approved after 10:00 AM Central Time then the distribution will be mailed on or before the next 3 business days.

    • Example: approved at 11:00 AM CT on Monday, will be mailed on or before Thursday.

Definitions:

  • Approved - means the files have processed successfully and the distribution has been reviewed and approved.

  • Business days - exclude Saturday, Sunday as well as Bank Holidays.
